MEP – Engineer

Reporting To:  Sr. Manager – MEP

Essential Qualification: Graduate in Civil/Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Master’s Degree Engineering

Experience:   5 to 8  years of experience in Consulting Industry.

 

Profile:

Candidate should meet below Job description,

 

Technical: –

 

1. Good understanding of local and international design standards, code & local authority requirements.
2. Sound knowledge on Design calculations such as Electrical Load estimation, short circuit, Voltage Drop, equipment selection, new technology, solar system, etc.
3. Should be experienced in reviewing design documents from contractors.
4. Coordination level understanding of other services such as HVAC, PLUMBING, FIRE FIGHTING, PA SYSTEM, CCTV SYSTEM, BMS SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, ETC.
5. Good in Co- ordination with relevant stakeholders for follow-up and approvals.
6. Assist seniors in review and approval of contractor’s shop drawings and material submittals.
7. Assist seniors in response to RFI and queries from Site.
8. Coordination with Commercial and with team for cost inputs and tender technical discussions.
9. Active participation in meetings and discussions at client level.
10. Assist seniors in technical review of products for rate contract ,design & estimate.
11. Assist seniors for Authority submission.
12. To manage the entire mechanical, (HVAC, PA, FAS, CCTV etc..) electrical & plumbing activities MEP Planning
13. To prepare and manage MEP budget, to prepare schedule and checks on MEP budget variance to control cost.
14. To execute -Electrical work, Mechanical work, Plumbing services,etc.
15. To supervise the work as per approved drawings plans.
16. To provide planning input for the MEP works and monitor planning v/s progress on site.
17. To review & design Fire Fighting designs covering pipe sizing, sprinklers distribution, hoods fire suppression system, gas detection system, etc.
18. To review & design Electrical & Low Voltage designs covering lighting and power systems, D.B. schedule and power schematic, emergency lighting, fire alarm, low voltage systems, etc
19. To review & design all mechanical installation design includes lift, Canopy, Gates, Rails, special structural steels etc.
20. To review and Improving energy efficiency of the building, analyze mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions.
21. To review plans and specifications as per requirement.
22. Review and approve weekly, monthly, and special progress reports, as needed.
23. Interact with Technical authority to ensure design achievability or modifications.
24. To give necessary inputs towards Green Building design.

Managerial: –

 

1. Monitor and control the project deliverables from authority and contractors.
2. Prepare micro schedule for deliverables.
3. Review bills, technical parameters and variation claim by contractors.
   
   

Skills: –

 

1. Auto CAD Knowledge for review of drawings with basic drafting skill.
2. Knowledge of electrical software dilux,Etap,MEP,etc.
3. Knowledge of DSR, Market rate for review of estimate & new estimate.
4. Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
5. Good communication skills.
6. writing skills for detailed project reports.
7. Should be a team player and have a positive approach to change.
